About Me
Hello! My name is Joelle Shrewsbury, and I was born on April 15th, 2008. I developed a love of setting when I was very young, and since my twin loved hitting and passing, I always had someone to pass to me and to set to. A match made in heaven! Standing at 5'9" and weighing 145 lbs, I bring both height and agility to my role as a setter for Airport High School in Carleton, Michigan.
I am proud to be part of the class of 2026, maintaining a GPA of 3.59. My academic achievements reflect my dedication and hard work both on and off the court. I am proud to be completing 2 college courses this year, and became a member of the National Honor Society.
Stephanie Miller has been my varsity coach the last three years at Carleton Airport, where I have been a starting setter since my freshman year. I began my club career at the age of 8, and I am in my 2nd season with Toledo Dynamic Volleyball where I am coached by Troy Zabawa. Their guidance and support have been instrumental in my development as a player, helping me to refine my skills and grow in confidence. When I'm not on the court, I push myself to become stronger through workouts like jump training, lifting weights and running so that I am able to be in the best shape possible as the setter.
Thank you for taking the time to get to know me! I absolutely love being the "quarterback" of my teams, thrive under pressure, and consider it an honor to lead my team. I truly hope that my passion for volleyball is evident when I play, and it is my dream to continue my volleyball career at the college level.
